With over 70 team members and plans to grow more, we’re an emerging, responsive company. We offer collaboration, accountability, challenges, and rewards to everyone who joins us.

Our motto is “Love what’s next,” and we believe it applies to your career too. Join us to help evolve the program, collaborate with amazing teams, and love what lies ahead.

Who we need

Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, we are looking for a Project Cost Leader to join us. With the success of points earnings and redemptions tied directly to our revenue and the success of our partners, you will play a critical role in creating cost analyses to guide decision-making. You will forge relationships with business partners and owners to understand key business drivers and build and validate financial forecast models.

This is a 9-12 month contract opportunity working in a hybrid model, 2-3 days a week on-site.

What’s in it for you:

Ownership. We are a data science-driven company, and our membership is growing exponentially. We are adaptable, collaborative, and fast-paced. You want to take the next step in your career, where you can channel your passion for numbers and strategy to influence growth.

Influence. You will engage with every department in our organization, from executives to marketing and data and analytics, as well as teams within our owners. This exposure across the business will inform your contributions and help guide significant business decisions.

Anticipation. With giants in banking, grocery, and entertainment as our owners and partners in various categories like travel, shopping, and dining, this is an opportunity to gain broad exposure across a wide range of sectors and learn multiple facets of project cash flow and forecasting.

As our Project Cost Leader, you will:

  • Own the revenue and cost forecast model. You will ensure all critical business inputs are included to produce accurate and actionable outputs.
  • Own the reporting for several business functions. You will develop key strategic relationships within our marketing and data and analytics teams, as well as partners and owners. You will add value by becoming their go-to for financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Support the financial planning process. You will collect, analyze, and report on current revenue and spending and long-range planning. You will manage timelines and work with other teams to understand their inputs. You will synthesize and summarize material, providing value-added insight and accurate forecasting.
  • Plan for and manage the month-end forecasting process. You will monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and communicate with executives about business performance.
  • Continuously improve the planning processes and procedures. You will develop methods and financial measurement tools that empower executives to make data-driven decisions efficiently.
  • Support the organization. You will manage relationships with multiple teams across the company, providing support through financial discipline, transparency and monitoring of the key drivers.
  • Prepare presentation decks with financial analysis and summary. You will have a strong understanding of the points program position at all times and be able to communicate performance and strategic decisions clearly.
  • Manage multiple deadlines and meet all corporate requirements. You will manage the preparation of all financial reports and oversee annual budgeting and strategic planning.

You bring:

  • The analytical experience. You have experience in financial planning and analysis, forecasting for companies and projects of different sizes and complexities, and expertise in building and manipulating complex financial models in Excel. Ideally, you have exposure to Power Query or the technical confidence to come up to speed quickly. You can quickly understand and analyze various approaches and understand the short—and long-term business benefits or consequences. You can drill down to the details, obtaining the right level of specificity. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy are exceptional.
  • The drive. You are genuinely curious. You ask intelligent questions and pursue new information. You want to understand your role’s overall business impact and look for opportunities to make an impact. You thrive in an evolving environment and step up to different daily challenges.
  • The interpersonal skills. You can influence without authority and work in partnership with teams, managers, and executives. You can articulate your opinion confidently in a group setting and are comfortable presenting financial data to executive-level audiences. You have professional written, verbal, and presentation skills. You are highly collaborative and genuinely interested in understanding others, hearing their perspectives, and encouraging high-quality results.

Why work for Scene+? The best of all worlds. We offer:

  • Transparency. Our strategic focus comes from our owners, along with funding and infrastructure support. The creative approach and direction is Scene’s to run with.
  • Warmth. We’re nurturing an authentic culture of relationship building, knowledge sharing, and creativity. As we continue to grow and work together, everyone is invited to share ideas for fun with the team.
  • The future. We are all about living in the moment while looking towards the future. Because to us, the only thing more exciting than today is tomorrow.

What you can expect from our interview process:

  • A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor discussing your interest in the role and the company and how you will make an impact as our new Project Manager.
  • An interview with the Hiring Manager and a senior team member to learn about our project roadmap, points program and partner relationships. You will be able to share your insights and expertise in cost forecasting and modeling. It’s a chance to ask questions about the company and the role.
  • An interview with team members from Marketing and Data and Analytics. It’s a chance to ask questions about the company’s cross-team collaboration, impressive data, and unique partner relationships.
