Mortgage Exploration

CEE’s Mortgage Exploration Program provides an opportunity for Black young adults to discover career paths in the mortgage industry and plan their “first steps” into the sector.

Program Details:

    • Program Name: Mortgage Exploration
    • Length of Program: 12 weeks
    • Cohort Size: Up to 15
    • Graduates to date: 5
    • Current Program Partner: RFA (Funder, Facilitation Partner), Dominic Mascoll (Certificate Facilitator), United Way (Funder).
    • The Mortgage Exploration Program will build participants’ foundational knowledge of mortgage lending and banking, exposing them to a diversity of career paths, fostering opportunities to build work-relevant contacts and developing transferable skills deemed critical to entry-level employment.

    • ‣    Mortgage Framework Certification
    • ‣    Mortgage Lending & Banking process.
    • ‣    Buying a Residential property process
    • ‣    Mortgage Operations: Mortgage officer, credit analysts, credit managers, loan officer, quality assurance analyst.
    • ‣    Financial Management and Budgeting
    • ‣    Networking skills in the Mortgage Sector
    • ‣    Develop an Elevator Pitch
    • ‣    Career Planning & Pre-Employment Support.
