Styling Program

The CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals Styling Program Ashoke is a 14-week incubator program for Black fashion entrepreneurs and enthusiasts. This program will focus on training Black youth, ages 18-30 on the different components of costuming and wardrobe styling for the Film, Television & Commercial industry.

Program Details:


  • Program Name: Styling for Film and Wardrobe Design
  • CEE Graduates to date: 38 Graduates
  • Current Program Partners: Hudson Bay Foundation (Funder), Textile Museum (Placement Partners)

  • The Styling program focuses on training Black youth; ages 18-30 on the different components of costuming and wardrobe styling for the Film, Television & Commercial industries. By exploring the relationship between fashion and film, participants will be introduced to the wardrobe department, its roles and functions in production, script breakdowns, set protocol and etiquette, costume creation, styling, and budgets. The program will also demystify the process of entering and navigating the film and television industry as an aspiring wardrobe designer. Upon this program’s end, youth will have gained the necessary knowledge, training, and skills to find employment in an entry-level role in the costume and styling departments in Film and Television.
